Hiking at Mt. Orford National Park (13./14.10.2002)

On my birthday weekend (a long weekend as October 14th was Thanksgiving holiday in Canada), we went to hike in the Mt. Orford National Park. This is situated about 100km eastwards from Montreal, in the so-called Eastern Townships. In winter, Mt. Orford is a very popular skiing area.

It was the ideal time to see the typical Canadian "Indian Summer" with all the red maple leaves and autumn colours.

This is a view towards the south. The mountains you can see already belong to the USA.
